From the first cut of the cloth to the finished coat, it took a total of eight hours of work. It would probably benefit from another hour or two pad-stitching the collar.

Mad from thin cotton velvet and with no stiffening or structure beyond the collar, it was not designed to always lie flat. The aim, with this coat, was to achieve an elegant and dashing but nonetheless casual appearance.
